The Old Iron Monger (George) and Mrs. Monger (Lydia) would like to let you know a little more about who we are and our wrought iron home decor. Our names are George and Lydia LaFriniere. George was born and raised right here in Thompson Falls, Montana. Due to his parents uncommon good sense in being here at the time. Lydia came to the United States from Czechoslovakia when she was 25 years of age and arrived in Thompson Falls in January 1994. George and Lydia have been married since 1996.
Wrought Iron Home Decor and Accessories
Lydia began her own cleaning business here in
Thompson Falls while George continued working in his machine shop. Lydia first approached
George ( Git with it buddy ) with an idea for wrought iron gifts she wanted made for her
own customers. The wrought iron candle holders George designed and hand crafted for
Lydia's customers were a big hit. That's how their wrought iron home decor business was born.
With the success of George's Iron Candle
holders, Lydia and friends, Brenda & Russel encouraged George to develop a larger
product line and explore the artistic side of iron work. Lydia has had much success
promoting and selling George's
wrought iron home
decor.

Many of the products made by the Old Iron Monger are created using basic horseshoes. He has created a variety of Horseshoe Decor that is both useable and charming. Each piece maintains the individually handmade quality that makes it both a quality product and delightful to use. It is just another facet of our wrought iron home decor.
One good seller for the Old Iron Monger has also been his dinner bells. These beautiful iron bells are created by hand for a wonderful tone and traditional design. Nothing says "Come on in for supper" like one of these beautiful triangle dinner bells.
