There are many different things to consider when purchasing a country sign as a gift or for your own home.The most important step would be picking the phrase that you want to reflect in the decor of your home.

After you have chosen your phrase then we move to the portion of your sign order where you are selecting from the different color options available. We suggest you choose one dark color and one light color.For example, if you pick a dark colored background, like blue, we would suggest choosing a light colored font color like cream.

The next step in the process is choosing the font style.The black and white signs on the right are Formal Font on the top (white background with black font) and country font on the bottom (black background with white font.
It Is What It Is was made in the Handwriting font (Stone background with Rum Raisin Font).

We offer our large signs (5 1/2 inches tall) in 3 font styles, Formal, Country, and Handwriting.The font style is part of what determines the length of your country sign.The Formal font will make the longest sign, the Country font will make a middle size, and the Handwriting will make the longest (this is with the assumption that all three signs have the same phrase.

We offer our small signs (3 1/2 inches tall) in 2 font styles, Formal and Handwriting.Again, if using the same phrase the Formal font will make the shortest sign an the handwriting font would make the longest sign.

All of our signs are made on solid pine boards. Because we use pine boards each sign will have natural wood flaws that are indicative of wood. There may be small knots or splits in the wood that are a result of the wood grain.

After the pine board is selected for your sign it is then painted with the base coat that will be the background of your sign.Once dry the sign is then hand stenciled with the words or phrase of your choice.After the font paint has dried the entire sign is then sanded for a distressed look that we attain with all of our country signs.

The final step for finishing our country signs is stained finish that is applied to the entire sign, front, back, and all sides.We then add the hanger of your choice (wire, which requires 2 holes in the top colors and hangs the sign down about 6 inches from the wire: or photo brackets, which are placed on the back of the sign on the top corners and hand the sign like a picture) so that you can mount the sign in the place of your choosing.
