Windrift Hill
Goat Milk Lotion and Soap
Did
you know that 60% of whatever comes in contact with your skin is assimilated
into your system? Goat's milk has always been most acceptable for people
with sensitive digestive tracts; this is also true of external use.
Deana Maier, who was an occupational therapist, saw people struggling with skin problems that medications didn't seem to help. She did some research and discovered that goat's milk was considered a great natural therapy and began making goat's milk soap in her kitchen.

Goat's
milk is a natural moisturizer that is high in proteins, minerals and vitamins
that are easily absorbed into the skin. Healthy goats produce healthy milk
and that equals healthy skin and hair.
Each of the Maier's Nubian goats is hand milked two times daily to insure high quality milk for Windrift Hill products. Deena's husband, Dick, who runs the business with his wife and kids, says the high butterfat content helps moisturize the skin better than just about anything else. Goat's milk helps them to create an amazing line of natural skin care products.
Dick and Deena Maiers, along with their daughter and two sons run this family business in Conrad Montana. Deena is convinced that this family workforce is a perfect blend, just like their soaps and other products.
"Soaps today have many ingredients and additives only a chemist can understand. Windrift Hill soaps and Windrift Hill Body Butter contain no preservatives, only naturally blended ingredients. We use only the highest quality essential and fragrance oils along with herbs and spices for texture and color. Unlike most mass produced soaps, our handcrafted cold processed soaps retain all of the moisturizing glycerin that is formed", say the Maiers.
Each bar has over an ounce of goat's milk and is hand cut. The bars vary slightly in size and shape. The soaps are not wrapped as being kept in the open air extend their life. The aromas will become stronger when wet during use and you will notice the soaps leave no soap film.
Windrift Hill, named after the windy hill where the Maiers live, makes 40 different types of soaps, five scented lotions, and nine types of body butter. They use natural clay that oxides, herbs, oils, and of course, fresh goat's milk. Windrift Hill products are proudly made in Montana.
